Lone Waitress...I can't go to work without eating beforehand cause I know I will get hungry while working and be unable to eat. It is bad when you should have a break to eat but cannot.
I'm not even allowed to order food at work. We eat soup and left over bread and swipe bananas and apples from the BOH.. But, you know you've been waiting tables too long when you forget to sit down to long and you don't notice how hot, cold or old your food is.
Waiter- I always eat before work because I know this happens. Sometimes, when you are working a long shift (say, 15 hours) the oatmeal you had for breakfast just doesn't stay with you that long!
Confessions- I agree. I do eat many a cold meal.
Don't you get a discount or a staff meal? I guess not...
I do get a discount on one meal per shift, but I'd rather not pay anything for something I don't get to eat.
